The media world is changing so quickly, students need more real-world opportunities to “practice” their craft. I developed the concept of Community Projects so that our Ad+PR majors can tackle communications problems for local non-profit organizations.

Our first project in the spring of 2012 was a big one! We were asked by a local science museum to develop a complete re-branding effort to save the museum. I lead a team of Ad majors, completing their senior Ad Campaigns class, through the Branding Spiral and Ad Design Porfessor Kelley Coppinger woke with her class to develop the collateral. The final presentation to the BRIMS Board of Directors was on May 5, 2012.
